Sapphire studio began in 1998 as a recording studio, label & promotion business for the band Celestial Ecstacy. The Studio had 4 different locations throughout Santa Fe & La Cieneguilla from 1998-2008. In the early years Sapphire Studio recorded acts such as: Celestial Ectsacy, Shanahan Wood, Rudy DeVargas, Adam Picrasso, & various R&b groups on analog machines like the tascam 8 track and a tascam reel to reel 4 track. Later Sapphire Studio worked in conjunction with Bobchak sound labs. & Imagine Studios with engineers & artists James Bobchak & Ben Callan to work on two different C.E. albums. During those years the machines used were 8 track ADAT machines. In 2004 Sapphire Studio re-located & recorded the Virgin Album with Carlo Armendariz, David Vigil, Roland Garcia, Dino Padilla, Margaret Wrathmell, Amado Abeyta, & Johnny Joe Bobchak embracing the new recording programs mixcraft. When Sapphire Studio moved to La Cieneguilla in 2005, the studio recorded acts: Sapphire, DJ Seda C Seamless of Flownice, Shanahan Wood, Jonathan Tercero, Young Black, Ashlee Thomas, & Elisa Bourgett. In 2006 Sapphire Studio made its final move back to Santa Fe & recorded two albums, Feather & A lizard romancer within the next two years. In 2007 Carlo Armendariz started a photography studio carrying the name Sapphire Studio for 2 years. In 2010 the members of Sapphire who initiated Sapphire Studios are working on a new album in the Sound Arts studio in San Francisco with engineer Adam Picrasso under the title Sapphire productions & Carlo Armendariz is working Freelance with Carlo Armendariz Studios & the new production Co. Spica Studios. Sapphire’s new album off the ground will be the last production affiliated with Sapphire studio. In the decade span Sapphire Studio recorded over 20 artists, 7 albums, worked with many engineers, videographers, photographers, & producers
